At Need Funeral Funding
Clear, Practical Payment Options When Arrangements Need to Be Made Now
When a death occurs, families are often making many decisions in a short period of time. At Dancy Funeral Home, we believe payment should be one less source of stress. We offer several at-need funding options and explain them clearly so families understand what is available, how payments can be made, and how costs may be shared.
In many cases, funeral expenses are covered through a combination of personal funds, family contributions, insurance proceeds, or other support. Our goal is to make that process as simple, transparent, and manageable as possible.
Payment Methods We Accept
We accept the following forms of payment for at-need funeral expenses:
- Cash
- Personal check
- Bank check or cashier’s check
- Credit card
Please note: credit card payments incur a 3.252% processing fee.
We do not accept debit cards. Families who wish to use funds from a debit account may obtain a bank check or cashier’s check from their financial institution.
Split Payments and Shared Responsibility
Funeral expenses do not have to be paid by one person or through one payment method alone. In many cases, costs may be divided among several family members or other responsible parties and paid using a combination of accepted payment methods.
We are happy to help coordinate these arrangements so the process remains clear and manageable.
Important Notes
- Payment arrangements should be discussed with our funeral directors during the arrangement conference.
- Credit card payments are subject to a 3.252% processing fee.
- Debit cards are not accepted directly.
- Families may combine multiple payment methods when needed.
- At-need payment may also be used alongside insurance proceeds or other available funding sources.
Our role is to explain each option clearly, answer questions honestly, and help families move forward with confidence.
