Vincenzo Florio

Vincenzo “Vincent” Florio, 99, of West Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, West Orange. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Born and raised in Foggia, Italy, Vincenzo came to the United States, where he settled in West Orange with his beloved wife, Caterina. Together, they built a loving home and raised their daughter, Maria Rosaria.

Vincenzo was a skilled and dedicated cabinet maker, working out of Newark for many years before retiring in 1995. Known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic, he took great pride in his trade. He was a faithful and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in West Orange, where his devotion and quiet presence were well known.

Vincenzo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Caterina (née Casale) Florio; his daughter, Maria Rosaria Florio; his sisters, Lena Tribuzio, Maria D’Andola, and Anna Florio; and his brothers, John Florio and Francesco Florio.

He is survived by his brothers, Neil Florio, and Luigi Florio; his many loving nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Maria and Bobby Cervino.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincenzo’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and would be greatly appreciated.
