Vincent L. Russello, Sr. Obituary (1930 - 2021)

Vincent "Vinnie" Russello, died peacefully on January 29, 2021 at age 90. Visiting will be at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J. on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2020 at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass will be offered at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., followed by the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. (Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home will admit 50 guest inside at a time. Face masks and social distancing are required inside the funeral home and church and at the cemetery) Vinnie was born in Newark, on October 8, 1930 and resided there until moving to West Caldwell with his family in 1970. After a 38-year career at Bell Labs, he retired in 1993 enjoying time with his beloved wife of 61 years, Tina (nee Sierchio), playing bocce, bowling, rooting for the Colts, as well as being an active member in both the Caldwell Old Guard and Seniors organizations, and ushering at the Saturday evening mass at St. Aloysius for many years. He was also a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving in the Korean War from 1951-1953. Vinnie was predeceased by his wife Tina and is survived by his daughter Donna of Randolph and her partner Anthony Nardone, son Vincent and daughter-in-law Fran of West Caldwell, his grandson Gregory and partner Olivia Jaworski of Hoboken, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
