Susan A. Eiben

Susan A. Eiben, a lifelong resident of Caldwell, NJ, age 85, died on Sunday May 3, 2020 at Boonton Care Center, Boonton NJ of natural causes after a long illness.

She was born in Caldwell, NJ on December 15, 1934 to Michael J. Eiben and Susan Dienes Eiben.

Private services are under the direction of the Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, in Caldwell.

After graduation from Grover Cleveland High School in Caldwell she was employed by NJ Blue Cross, Blue Shield, NJ for 41 years until her retirement in 1995.

She was a member of the Caldwell Rent Leveling Board and the Parkside Gardens Condo Association's Executive Board. As a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell she volunteered her time by knitting, crocheting arts & crafts and sending those items to be distributed to babies in hospitals as well as to the less fortunate.

She was predeceased by her siblings Julie Emery Bertan, Mary Weeks, Helen Weeks and Michael (Sonny) Emery. She is survived by her nephew Michael Bertan, Sr., his wife Laura of Grass Lake, MI.

The family expresses their thanks to the Staff at Boonton Care Center for its care and concern for Susie, to her Eldercare Advocate Nelly Koetzner of SOS Eldercare Consultants for her steadfast supervision of Susie care and to Caldwell Attorney Andrew W. Kleppe for his faithful handling of Susie's affairs when she was unable to do that herself. Special thanks also to Susie's lifelong friend Frances Noronha and to the other friends who gave her so much enjoyment when they visited her.
