Sabatina "Nina" Leone Obituary (1947 - 2023)

Sabatina "Nina" Leone (nee Buono), 75, of Livingston, N.J., passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Philomena Church, Livingston, N.J., immediately followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. Born in Prata, Avellino, Italy, Mrs. Leone lived in Orange for many years before moving to Livingston 40 years ago. She was employed as a seamstress for the ILGWU before retiring and was a member of the Padre Pio Rosary Society of Mt. Carmel Church. An avid cook and gardener, her favorite joy was hosting and loving family and grandchildren. The beloved wife of 47 years to Salvino Leone, she was the loving mother of Dina Sage and her husband Robert, Giuseppe Leone and his wife, Julianne, Sabrina Leone, and Gerardo Leone and his wife Kari; dear sister of Gabriella Buono and the late Angela Giordano, Salvatore Buono, and Antonia Aversali. Cherished sister-in-law of Lina Buono, Loreto Aversali, Costantino Giordano, Vincenzo Leone, Rosalia (Vincenzo) Tripi and the late Antonino (Maria) Leone and Concetta (Vincenzo) Costanza. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Mia, Gianna, Stella, Monty and Donny and several loving nieces and nephews.
