Rose Cicalese (nee Palumbo) Obituary (1939 - 2021)

Rose Cicalese (nee Palumbo), 81, of Livingston, N.J., passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Visiting will be at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. Philomena Church, Livingston, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:30, immediately followed by the interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions masks and social distancing are required in the funeral home, church and at the cemetery at all times. Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Cicalese lived in West Orange for many years before moving to Livingston. She was employed by Automatic Switch for several years before retiring. Mrs. Cicalese was predeceased by her beloved parents, Dominick and Anastasia Palumbo and devoted husband, Orlando "Sonny" Cicalese. Surviving are her loving daughters, Rosanne Drechsel and her husband, Doug, and Michele Cicalese; cherished grandsons, Daniel, Michael and his fiance Pilar, Dylan, Nicholas, Anthony and Domenic; dear sister, Joney Pannullo and the late Andrew Palumbo, Sr., and the aunt of Anthony and Michael Pannullo, Rosie Palumbo Testa, Katherine Palumbo Zeigle, Vicki Pennella and the late Andrew Palumbo, Jr. She will also be missed by Beagle, Reggie, Princess, Tock, Shadow and Lady.
