Maria Monica passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 9 to 10 AM at Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Avenue, Caldwell, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Orange. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Born and raised in Palo del Colle, Bari, Italy, Maria moved to the United States in 1972, settling in Orange, New Jersey. She married her beloved husband of over 40 years, Anthony Monica, Sr., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on April 29, 1973, and together they raised their family on Lincoln Ave in Orange.

A talented seamstress, Maria worked for many years at Tee Gee Clothing in Orange. She was deeply devoted to her family and community, known for her warmth, kindness, and hard working ethic.

Maria was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Monica, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Monica-Zebi and her husband Walid, and her son, Anthony Monica, Jr. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughters, Mia Monica Zebi and Sara Monica Zebi, as well as her dear siblings, Vito Bitetto and Santa Bitetto-Salierno.
