Margherita L. Holzman Obituary (1928 - 2024)

Margherita Holzman of West Orange, NJ passed away peacefully in her home on April 4, 2024, at the age of 95. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in celebration of her life at St. Joseph's Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, NJ on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Margherita was born in Orange, NJ and remained a lifelong resident until moving to West Orange several years ago. She retired at age 93 from the West Orange Tennis Club where she was employed for over 30 years. Margherita had many passions in her life: Tennis, painting, world travel. She was a beach-lover and Thanksgiving host par excellence. But her greatest passion was her family and friends. She lived for them and cherished them dearly. She is the beloved mother of Marc Holzman and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Margherita was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Edward Holzman, her parents, John and Assunta (Romano) Saporito and her dear sisters, Angela Saporito, Catherine Vitale, Rose Dolce, Anna Caruso, Genevieve Fiorentino and Mildred Fernandes.
