Lucia Russo

Lucia "Lucy" Russo, 70, of East Hanover passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

Visiting with the family will be at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Park on Friday, Dec 8, 2023, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.

Born in Alberona, Italy, Lucia immigrated from Italy at the age of seven to New Jersey. She lived in West Orange for many years before moving to East Hanover 37 years ago.

She graduated from West Orange High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School, and later worked as a file clerk at Spector and Ehronworth, PC in Florham Park.

Lucia enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, dancing at parties and watching old movies. But her greatest joy in life was spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Rosaria Corvelli and sister, Maria Ilaria.
Lucia is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years Pasquale Russo, loving children Maria (Conrad) Muscarella, Michael Russo and Joseph (Heather) Russo; cherished grandchildren, Vincenzo, Lucia, Giuliana, Pasquale, Alessia, Lorenzo and Emilia, and dear sister Ida (Daniel) DiPasquale.
