Kelvin John Granberg Jr. Obituary (1951 - 2020)

A Mass for Kelvin John Granberg Jr., 68, of West Caldwell, will be offered on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, North Caldwell, N.J., followed by the inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Arrangements are by Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial in Caldwell. Mr. Granberg, who passed away on April 24, 2020, was employed as a senior computer systems analyst at Merck Pharmaceuticals Research In Kenilworth NJ. Before that, he was a system analyst with Diecomp Inc., South Plainfield NJ, Singer-Kearfott, Clifton NJ, Nabisco in Parsippany NJ and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Inc in East Hanover NJ. Born in Pittson, PA., he lived in Irvington NJ before moving to West Caldwell NJ several years ago. In addition to his IT career, he was a musician and actor having performed in many professional community plays and musicals, such as Night of January 16th, Odd Couple, Our Town, The Good Doctor, The Wayside Motor Inn, Twelve Angry Jurors, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Grandma Sylvia's Funeral and La Cage aux Folles. He played the guitar during Mass at Saint Peter Claver Church in Montclair NJ and was a voice and guitar member of choir at Notre Dame Church, North Caldwell NJ. Mr. Granberg was the beloved husband of Christine Goeller, and dear step-brother of Robert and Ronald Pladek.
