Kathleen "Kathy" Scaglione (Nee Cusack) Obituary (1945 - 2020)

Kathleen "Kathy" Margaret Scaglione (nee Cusack) of West Orange, New Jersey passed away on April 12, 2020 at the age of 74. Kathy was born in Newark, New Jersey to Patrick and Philomena (nee Caprio) Cusack and raised in Harrison, New Jersey. Following high school, Kathy worked as an executive secretary for the Internal Revenue Service in Newark, New Jersey. It was there she met the love of her life and beloved husband of forty-eight years, Dominic. Following a stay in Utica, New York due to her husband's relocation as part of his service as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kathy and Dominic relocated to West Orange, New Jersey where they made their home. Over the next forty years, Kathy took the greatest pride and joy in raising her children Patrick, Dominic and Christina with unconditional love, selflessness, tender affection and kindness. She instilled in them God, proper values, morals and an unremitting love of life. She devoted her life to Dominic and her children and reveled in each treasured moment they spent together. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph's Church in West Orange. Her home was an open door to all she loved with food on the table, music playing, dancing and the purest of love in her heart. That kind, generous heart and love of life made for the most joyous of times no matter the occasion. Family and friends will never forget the style and grace with which she carried herself and the adoration Kathy had for them. She found such happiness when those she loved were content. She leaves behind a legacy of family, faith, love and kindness. Along with being the beloved wife of Dominic; loving mother of Patrick and Dominic , and Christina Wood and her husband Ryan, Kathy is the dear sister of Patricia Ann Lamera and her husband Joseph; sister-in-law of Corinne Dittmeier and her husband Ralph, Nicholas Scaglione and his wife Helen and Ginger Arroyo and her husband Bill, cousin of Joseph Casalino, Robert Rowe and is survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
