Josephine T. Manna-Lombardo Obituary (1923 - 2022)

Josephine T. Manna-Lombardo (nee Bruno) passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Monday morning, March 7, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. The burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Orange. Born in Orange, Josephine lived most of her life in West Orange before moving to Mt. Olive several years ago. As a young woman, she worked at Nite Kraft in West Orange as a seamstress and was married to Carmine Manna, who died in 1956. Josephine later married her second husband, the late Joseph Lombardo and together they owned and operated the West Orange Plant Market and Superior Bakery in West Orange for many years before retiring. The beloved wife of the late Carmine Manna and Joseph Lombardo, she is survived by her loving children Johanna Venturi and her husband Ronald, John Manna and his wife Cheryl, and Patricia McMurry and her husband William, and 10 cherished grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marie Antonia Bruno; brothers and sisters, Louis Bruno, Anthony Bruno, Margaret Bruno, Elizabeth Tone and Patrick Bruno.
