John Service

John Service, 90, of Clifton, N.J., formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022.

Private services are under the direction of Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial in Caldwell, N.J.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mr. Service lived in Bloomfield before moving to Clifton for more than 15 years ago.

He was employed as a sheet metal mechanic for Westinghouse in Bloomfield for many years before retiring and was a member and vice president of Local 410 AFL-CIU.

The beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann Service (nee Cullen), he was the loving father of Margaret-Rose Morrissey, and cherished grandfather of Hannah, Siobhan, Fiona and John.
