Joan "Joany" M. Murante Loving Mother and gradmother Joan "Joany" M. Murante (nee Vanderhoff) 87 of Whiting, NJ formerly of Clifton and Westwood, NJ passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022. Visiting will be at the Paul Ippolito - Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave, Caldwell on Tuesday, May 31st from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 10 am in Notre Dame Church, Central Ave, North Caldwell followed by the entombment at St. Teresa Cemetery, Summit, NJ. She was an office worker for the Bergen County Board of Elections in Hackensack, NJ for many years before retirement. Beloved mother of Nicholas Murante and his wife Sabrina, Vincent Murante and his wife Judy and Joseph Murante and his wife Evelyn; Dear sister of Martin Vanderhoff and his wife, Kathy, Julia Kessler and the late Clara Healy; loving grandmother of Dominica Giglio, Isabella Murante, Nick Murante, Elizabeth Ferrell and her husband Ryan, Mary Heiman and her husband Richard, Jonathan Murante and his wife Jessica and Matthew Murante, also survived by 2 great grandsons Vincent and Noah. Joany was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas and her daughter, Catherine Giglio.
