Helen LoPrete

Helen LoPrete (nee Buono), 96, of Brick, N.J., formerly of West Orange passed away on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be Celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange, on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022 at 10 a.m., immediately followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J.

Born and raised in Orange, daughter of the late Thomas and Amelia (DeVito) Buono, Mrs. LoPrete was a resident of Orange and West Orange for 20 years before moving to Brick.

She was employed by the West Orange School System as a cook and cafeteria worker for 32 years before retiring in 1998.

The beloved wife of the late Patrick LoPrete, she was the devoted mother of Elaine LoPrete, Patrick T. LoPrete and Carol LoPrete; dear sister of Jean Raposo, Margaret Anastasia, the late Angelina Buono, Anthony Buono, Carmela Buono DiFabrizio, Vincent Buono and Mary Catino, and cherished grandmother of Yasmin LoPrete, Ashley LoPrete and Patrick T. LoPrete Jr. She is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Rose Sayer and Carol Buono, and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and cousins.
