George J. Columbo

George J. Columbo, 86, of Cedar Grove, NJ formerly of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.

Born and raised in Orange, NJ, George lived in West Caldwell for 30 years before moving to Cedar Grove, NJ 20 years ago.

A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, July 28th at 11:30 am in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28 Livingston Ave, Roseland. Entombment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.

Due to the current restrictions the visitation will be private.

Arrangements by the Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006. George was the owner of Columbo's Restaurant and Columbo's Prime Meats in Orange, NJ.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joan (nee Polito); his loving children George (Kathy) Columbo and Nancy (Steve) Bechtler; his dear sister Jessica Liguori; cherished grandchildren Briana, Chelsea, Nicholas, Steven, Melissa and his great grandchildren Dominick, Johnny and Christian, also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in George's name to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
