Frank Ferrara

Frank Ferrara, 88, of West Orange, N.J., passed away on April 13, 2019.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lourdes Church, West Orange, N.J., on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10 a.m., followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J.

Born in East Orange, Frank lived in Orange before moving to West Orange 56 years ago.

He was employed by the West Orange Post Office for 25 years before retiring in 1991. Prior to working for the US Postal Service, he was also a tool & die machinist at D&H Tool and Die in East Orange.

Frank proudly served in the United States Navy during peacetime assigned to the U.S.S. Amphion stationed in Norfolk, VA, and was a member of the Caldwell Old Guard. He was an avid bowler and wood crafter.

The devoted husband of 63 years to, Marie (nee Mangieri) Ferrara, he was the loving father of Robert Ferrara, and his wife, Anna, of Sparta, N.J., and Lisa Gallipoli and her husband, the late Vincent of Pompton Plains, N.J.; dear brother of Marie Ferrara, Angelina Givens, Margaret Minetti, and the late Emanuel Ferrara, and cherished grandfather of Michael and Marisa Ferrara, and Alexandria and Patric Gallipoli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
