Francis "Frank" Cicenia Obituary (1936 - 2023)

Francis "Frank" Cicenia, 87, of Orange, NJ passed away in his home on October 5, 2023. Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Thursday, October 12th from 4-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange on Friday, October 13th at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Mr. Cicenia was born in Orange, NJ and remained a lifelong resident. He was employed as a Utilities Manager for Public Service Electric & Gas for many years before his retirement. He was well known and respected throughout the community as a long time member of the Italian-American Club of Orange, NJ. Frank is the beloved husband of the late Josephine "Pina" (nee Di Fabrizio) and he is survived by his brother Joseph Cicenia; several loving cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, as well as his in-laws, Angelo Di Fabrizio and his wife Kay, Rita Ripa and Ernesto Di Fabrizio; he was pre-deceased by his sister, Edith B. Merrigan and his brother, Anthony Cicenia, as well as in-laws Lorenzo and Antonio Di Fabrizio.
