Frances Cumbo (nee Gassini) 96 of Toms River formerly of West Orange passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J, on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to the Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10 a.m., immediately followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Cumbo lived in Orange and West Orange most of her life before moving to Toms River. She was the owner of Fran's Deli in West Orange for many years. The beloved wife of the late Anthony Cumbo, she was the loving mother of Toni Porciello and John Cumbo; cherished grandmother of, John, Denise, Diana, Anthony, Jessica, Tara and Johnna. Adored great-grandmother of Olivia, Gianna, Jacob, Paige, Nico, Emma, Leah and Carter.
