Ellen K. MacAlpin

Ellen Katherine MacAlpin (nee Daly), 84, of West Caldwell, N.J., passed away quietly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 surrounded by loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave, North Caldwell, NJ on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, where a Mass will be Celebrated at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are by Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, Caldwell, N.J.

Born in Atlantic City, N.J., Mrs. MacAlpin lived in Queens N.Y., before moving to West Caldwell over 50 years ago.

She was a registered nurse and health teacher for many years for the North Caldwell Board of Education at Grandview Elementary School before retiring. Prior to that, she worked in various New York and New Jersey Hospitals.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Donald MacAlpin, and cherished daughters, Amanda MacAlpin, and Melissa MacAlpin.

Mrs. MacAlpin was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Elizabeth Daly, and siblings, Charles Daly, Frank Daly, Richrd Daly, Joan Daly and Virginia Daly.

In lieu of flowers, the family, along with Ellen, wish you to take a loved one out for some fun and to spend some time together as time is the scarcest commodity.
