Eleanor Fitzgerald

Eleanor Fitzgerald (nee Palmieri), 102, of Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

A Mass will be offered at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by the inturment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.

Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial in Caldwell, NJ.

Born in Newark, Mrs. Fitzgerald lived in Caldwell for over 50 years.

She was a member of the Verona Senior Citizens Club, an avid tennis player and loved going to the Jersey Shore.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was predeceased by her husbands, Michael Russo and William Fitzgerald, and siblings, Sue Zazzarino, Mary Struffolino, Jean Soroko, Angelina Cioffi, Anthony Palmieri and Joseph Palmieri.
She was the loving mother of Theresa Ryan and Rose Ann Russo Ann (Bruce Silverman), and cherished grandmother of Kristen and Michael Ryan.
