Eleanor M. Antonucci (nee Valentine) Obituary (1943 - 2022)

Eleanor Antonucci (nee Valentine), of Parsippany, N.J., formerly of West Orange N.J., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. in St. Philomena's Church, Livingston, N.J., immediately followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. (Masks are required in the funeral home regardless of vaccination status) Born in Dover, N.J., Mrs. Antonucci lived in West Orange for over 50 years and Orange before moving to Parsippany many years ago. She was employed at Automatic Switch Co., Florham Park as a value fitter before retiring. She later worked at the Essex County Zoo and for many years. Mrs. Antonucci was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Joseph Antonucci, Jr., and dear sister of the late Dottie Sylvestri and Sonny Valentine. She is survived by her loving children Joseph Antonucci and his wife, Lori and Diane Yekel and her husband, Steve; cherished grandmother of Joseph and his wife, Aly, Alyssa, Erik and Ryan, and adored great-grandmother of Mia and Skylar Antonucci, and the late Gracelynn Yekel. Mrs. Antonucci was the dear sister of Dottie Sylvestri and Sonny Valentine and loved aunt to Michael and Wanda Murphy. She was the caring sister-in-law to Anthony and Judith Antonucci, Genaro and Debra Antonucci, Michael and Michelle Antonucci, Gail Antonucci, the late Phyllis and Matthew Iatesta, Basil Antonucci, John Antonucci, Richard Antonucci, Ann Antonucci, and Lorraine Antonucci.
