Edith Mae James Obituary (1933 - 2022)

Edith Mae James (nee Harvey), 89, of Fairfield, NJ passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 12 pm in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming, PA. Edith was born in Lemon Township, PA and has resided in Fairfield, NJ since 1971. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree before embarking on her career as a teacher in the Irvington School District for several years. Later in life she obtained her Real Estate License and enjoyed many years in the real estate community working for Century 21, RCR Realty and Arcadia Realty in Roseland, NJ, before her retirement in 2008. She was a long time member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church. Edith is the beloved wife of the late William D. James III (Bud); loving mother of Alan J. James and his wife Kim, the late William D. James IV (Dave) and his wife Jill; cherished grandmother of Ashley Lynn James; dear sister of the late Millie Crawford, Stirel Harvey and Ross Harvey, Jr.
