North Caldwell, New Jersey
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the generous and loving Dulce Guzman, who departed this life on February 18, 2026. Born in San Luis, Pampanga, Philippines on November 27, 1943, Dulce was a beacon of light who profoundly touched the lives of those around her. Her devotion to her family, loyalty to friends, and dedication to her profession as a physician were hallmarks of her life. Dulce's residence in North Caldwell, New Jersey, was filled with the warmth of her love, the wit of her conversations, and the aroma of her favorite foods - rice and sweets. She had an infectious affinity for Sprite Zero, was a superfan of EWTN, and held a peculiar fondness for listening to gossip, which added a sparkle to her captivating personality.
Dulce was an embodiment of the saying, "The love of a family is life's greatest blessing." She was a loving wife, an exceptional mother, and a doting grandmother. Dulce was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Dungo and Natividad Pena. Her spirit lives on in her children Carlo (Elza) Guzman and Debbie (Ryan) Price. Dulce was a woman of immense strength, whose resilience continued to shine even after becoming a widow. Her love story was one that left a lasting impact on her children and taught them the essence of true love and companionship.
As a physician, Dulce was not just a healer of bodies, but also a curer of hearts. Her generosity was evident in the way she treated her patients, always going above and beyond to ensure their well-being. She believed in the power of empathy, kindness, and patience, and instilled these values in her professional practice. As Mother Teresa said, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Dulce lived this philosophy, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
