Dr. Emmanuel B. Montero Obituary (1936 - 2020)

Dr. Emmanuel B. Montero, 84, of Livingston passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be at St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover, N.J., on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 at 11 a.m., followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the funeral home will allow 50 people inside at a time. Face masks and social distancing are required at both the funeral home and the church Emmanuel was born on May 31, 1936 in Misamis Occidental, Philippines son of Domingo Soriano Montero and Trinidad (nee Bulawin). Dr. Montero was a resident of Livingston for 40 years before moving to Mendham.. He was an anesthesiologist at Bayonne Medical Center before retiring. The beloved husband of the late Pamela Montero, he was the loving father of Melissa Montero, Theresa D'Aloia and her husband, Michael, Christopher Montero and his wife, Kristina, and Amy Alfano and her husband, Phil; cherished grandfather of Michael, Anthony, Gianna, Salvatore, Tyler, Richard, Vincent, Philip, Jillian and Mia, and dear brother of five sisters. He was also predeceased by four brothers. His passion was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 161 N.
