Daniel McNamara

Daniel McNamara, 66, of North Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday morning May 23, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11.a.m. at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., immediately followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave., North Caldwell, N.J.

Born in Teaneck and raised in Cliffside Park, N.J., Mr. McNamara was a resident of North Caldwell for 31 years.

He was employed by Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems in Summit, N.J. for over 34 years as Manager of Electrical Design and Controls. Prior to that he worked for Singer Kearfott for 10 years.

The beloved husband of 33 years to Lisa (nee Kelly) McNamara, he was the loving father of Danielle McAvinue and her husband, Dennis, Kimberly McNamara, and Jena McNamara, and cherished grandfather of Kylie McAvinue and Logan McAvinue.

Mr. McNamara was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Eileen McNamara and brother David McNamara.

Daniel (Danny) was a talented engineer who could fix anything whether it be at work or home. He traveled all over the world for business and with his family. You could often find him caring for his home and his garden, or grilling while listening to one of his favorite classic rock bands.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel McNamara's name to The Hospice and Palliative Care Unit - Simon 3; 3rd Floor at Morristown Medical Center, 100 Madison Ave., Morristown, N.J., 07960, would be appreciated.
