Conrad Daniel Andriola Obituary (1957 - 2024)

Sadly, our brother Conrad Daniel Andriola, passed away suddenly at home at the age of 66. Conrad was born in Orange, NJ on November 11, 1958. He grew up in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ. Conrad was pre-deceased by his parents, Daniel and Barbara Andriola. In his early career, Conrad worked as a "black seal" boiler operator. for the Orange Board of Education. After retiring, he worked for the Millburn Board of Education as a crossing guard. Conrad greeted the children and parents every day with a smile and funny words as he safely crossed them to school. He also found immense joy in caring for other people's dogs and treated them with the utmost care and affection. Conrad loved spending time outdoors, feeding wild birds and stray cats, and particularly enjoyed fishing trips with his friends. He especially looked forward to snow and sharing those winter pics with his sisters. Conrad is survived by his sisters Lynn Desmond (Wayne); Loraine Vala (Al); niece Michelle Abbate (Kristopher) and their daughter Juniper; nephews Daniel Vala (Michelle); Bobby Vala (Tracy) and their children Mason and Mackenna; Paul Vala (Daria) and their children Jackson, Logan, and Olivia; Anthony Vala (Danielle) and their children Monet and Shawn; and his long time companion Lynn Kay and family, as well as numerous cherished cousins. Friends and relatives may greet the family for a Memorial Visitation to be held in Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 2-5 PM with Fr. Thomas Vala presiding over the Prayer Service and Celebration of Life to begin at 2:30 PM.
