Chiara Viola

Chiara Viola (nee Palmieri), 92, a long time resident of Orange, NJ, passed peacefully at home on Thursday March 14, 2019.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange, N.J, on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 10 a.m., followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Masoluem, East Hanover, N.J.

Chiara was born and raised in Alberona, Italy, and came to America in 1973 with her husband, Pasquale and three children.

The beloved wife of the late Pasquale Viola, Chiara is survived by her daughter, Angelina Viola, son, Giovanni Viola and his wife, Maria, and daughter, Antonietta and her husband, Michele Minotti, grandchildren, Massimiliano Carpinteri and his wife, Poliane, Chiara and her husband, Franco Marini, and Pasquale Viola and his wife, Erin. She is also a great-grandmother to Gia, Mikayla and Madison. Chiara is also survived by her sisters, Lucia Zeoli, Maria Palmieri, Antonietta Dilura, sister-in-law, Maria Valenzia, brother-in-law, Pietro Viola and his wife, Giovanna, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Antonietta (nee Rampone) Palmieri; sisters, Donata and Grazia, and brothers Nicola, Luigi, Dante and Emilio.
