Carole Joan Paine (nee Smith) Obituary (1935 - 2020)

Carole Joan Paine (nee Smith) 85, of West Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., immediately followed by a 1 p.m. service at the funeral home. The interment will be at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Due to Covid restrictions the funeral home will only allow 50 people inside at a time. Facemasks and social distancing are required both at the funeral home and cemetery. Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Paine was a resident of Verona before moving to West Caldwell 60 years ago. She was employed by Economics Press in Fairfield, and had worked part-time at Caldwell College in the cafeteria, as well as assisted Kreskin's mother. The beloved wife of 65 years to Howard E. Paine 3rd; she was the loving mother of Howard E. Paine 4th and his wife, Rose, Carolyn Flynn and her husband, Stephen, JoAnne Trespasz and her husband, Richard, and cherished grandmother of Howard E. Paine 5th, Ryan Paine, James Finlay. Samantha Nehrbass, Jennifer Trespasz , Andrew Trespasz, and the late Christopher Finlay. She was also predeceased by her sister, Joyce Meeker.
