Brian J. Shanahan

Brian J. Shanahan, 68, of Union N.J., passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Thursday, July 23, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass will be held in St. John's Church, 94 Ridge St., Orange, N.J., on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., followed by the interment at St. John's Cemetery.

Born in Orange, Mr. Shanahan lived in West Orange most of his life before moving to Union many years ago.

Mr. Shanahan was a teacher for the Union School System for many years before retiring. He was past president of the Union Township Teacher's Association.He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Union.

Mr. Shanahan is survived by his loving sister and her husband, Maureen and John Millar.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Church, 94 Ridge St., Orange, N.J., would be appreciated.
